Joachim Weimann

Joachim Weimann is a German economist. He is currently the chair for political economy at the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. He is a graduate of the University of Bielefeld.

From 2011 until 2016, he was an IZA Research Fellow.His research interests include happiness, environmental economics, economic policy and experimental economics. He is head of the MaXLab, the Magdeburg Laboratory for Experimental Economics.His research has been published in, inter alia, the Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics, Public Choice, Kyklos, European Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics.
