Riz Khan

Riz Khan is an award-winning international journalist, author, event moderator, and public speaker, recognized globally for his prominent flagship TV interview shows on CNN International and AJE, as well ashis journalistic career at the BBC,including launchingBBC World, where he was the first international newsreader of South Asian descent.

In a career that has included more than 10,000 interviews, Khan has spoken with more world leaders, newsmakers, international celebrities, and top figures from business, sports, and the arts than any other international interviewer.

While at CNN, he also made history with the first live, award-winning global coverage of the Muslim pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca), the Haj.

Khan authored, “Alwaleed: Businessman, Billionaire, Prince” (Harper Collins 2005) and a satirical take on the TV news business, “We Interrupt Our Programming…” (Amazon 2012).

Now an independent journalist and broadcaster, Khan also continues to moderate and MC high-profile global conferencesfrom the World Economic Forum, in Davos, and numerous, top United Nations events, to key business gatherings such as the World Capital Markets Symposium, in Malaysia and the Eurasian Media Forum in Kazakhstan. Khan also began entrepreneurial work from 2017 by launching a premium-quality ethical clothing brand to support global rhino conservation.
