Wayne Curtis

Wayne Curtis "Curt" Weldon popularly known as Curt Weldon was born in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. He is an American Politician who served as a Republican Member of the United States House of Representatives. He represented the 7th District of Pennsylvania from January 3, 1987, to January 3rd, 2007. Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies, Curt became the first in the family to graduate from college despite growing up in a blue-collar family.

Prior to his time as a member of the US House of Representatives, Weldon had served as Mayor of Marcus Hook for two terms before being nominated for election on both the Democratic and Republican tickets. After his Congressional career, Weldon has been the Chief Strategic Officer of Defense Solutions, been on the advisory board of Novo Energies and is currently a board member for Monarch Air Group, an aviation firm in Fort Lauderdale.

Due to his interest in foreign affairs, Weldon coordinated a USSR student exchange program in 1985 which continues till date.
